The car needed its annual repair and my wife wanted a car that sat her up higher off the road and would last for another 15 years. Mike introduced my wife and myself to Stephen Fisher who was able to guide us to an X1. We initially thought about a X3 or X5 but after listening to us for about 15 minutes Stephen had us look at a X1. We test drove the X1 and X3 and were sold on the quality and handling of the X1. After to sale Stephen spent time with us showing the many buttons and gadgets on the car. Many new tech buttons than on a 14 year old car.
I was made to believe that my vehicle purchase qualified me for courtesy car washes, but that was clearly a lie. I pulled into the dealership, and I quickly informed the first person I saw in a Fields polo that I was there to receive my first courtesy car wash. This employee directed me to the back area where the wash entrance is located, and I was then greeted by a salesman in a tie. I let him know that it was my first time back to the dealership for the courtesy car wash, and he told me to pull to the side, and they would set me up with a "sticker" for the car wash. I patiently waited in my car, and I was then greeted by a third man in a bright blue polo. After reaching through my window and placing his hands on the interior of my car, he proceeded to inform me that the car wash had closed at 3:00PM. As you could imagine, I was quite confused after being directed to the back and then being told to wait outside the car wash. To avoid further conflict with the person that felt comfortable enough to reach through my window, I drove back to the front of the dealership. I then saw another salesman, so I decided to ask him why I could not get a car wash, and he informed me that the car wash had closed at 4:00PM (not 3:00PM). At this point, I was beyond confused and annoyed, so I left the dealership.
Great experience and no hassles. I like that getting a loaner at Fields is quick and simple: both pick-up and return. Service advisor Chris Wetteland was super nice, and all the work I requested was done.
The courtesy car wash is advertised on the service page within the Fields BMW website, and the service center has hours posted until 6:00PM, so it is reasonable to assume that the car wash would follow those general hours. Also, when I called the dealership after my car purchase to find out more about the courtesy car wash, I was led to believe that it operated during standard business hours. It is unbelievable that I could come in contact with so many people in this one trip to the dealership, and none of them were able to assist an existing customer.
Great guys. Sales - Finance - Everyone was stellar. I felt like they were there to make my experience as comfortable as possible. Really - really enjoyed it. I will be a lifetime customer of this group. Great job guys, great team synergy!
The real relationship between a customer and a car dealer shines after the sale. At Fields BMW of Winter park the service department is exceptional and very friendly. My service contact is Mr. Mat Stephens who is the best example of such relationship. Mat takes care of my 2010 Z4 as if it is his own vehicle, his recommendations are geared toward the best look and best performance. His knowledge and people skills exceed the expectations. When I visit the dealer I feel very comfortable and every one is willing to offer help. Thanks
As I finish this review, I still do not know if the car wash closes at 3:00PM or 4:00PM, but it is unlikely to ever impact my life again. I did learn one thing on my venture to Fields BMW Winter Park, and that is the fact that I will never purchase another vehicle through a Fields dealership, and they have lost all future recommendations.
Just bought my second car from Justin Rowe. Very easy-breezy, unlike most car-buying experiences at other dealers, where they wear you down until you confess! Justin and Fields BMW are very accommodating; I know that they will try to give me exactly what I want without an ordeal. Great place to buy from--and to visit for car servicing and lunch!
