Upon checking in for the cruise, none of the requests or accommodations we had made were met. The room was not what we had selected, the dinner arrangements were not what we had selected, nor was the drink package set-up the way it should have been. Yes, some of this can fall back on the cruise line, but since i had booked through GoTravel any changes that needed to be made had to go through GoTravel as the cruise line would not allow me to change it even though i shelled out the money for the cruise. To me this was very frustrating as i have been on a cruise prior to this one.
Please if you are reading this, take my advice and do some research on the vacation you would like to take. And for GoTravel, some of your agents are out-dated and behind the times and need to retire or find a different profession.
From the beginning they have been HORRIBLE to work with! I reached out to this company to help with booking my Honeymoon and from the moment i walked in the door it seemed as if they were unwilling to help or ever available to work with. Meeting with one of the agents Lucienne, my fiancee and i felt very pressured and the travel options were very transparent and unclear. After several discussions with the booking agent i asked to have my booking handled by her Manager. At that time i thought all was in order. A week before the honeymoon they did try to redeem the misunderstandings that had happened during the booking with a free voucher for a dinner service on the cruise and i was willing to give them a second chance.
If i could give a negative rating on this company i would gladly do so!
My mother had recommended this agency due to a positive prior experience with Lucienne. I visited her last year (2016) to plan a two week trip in Italy which I took this past September (2017). I gave her a rough idea of what I wanted to do and she gave me a plethora of tour operators/trips to choose from. From the many choices, I was fortunately able to select one I thought would work for me. I was not disappointed. I went with my mother and a good friend and we had a great time. Everything described from the tour operator brochure was on point and even more. I had no problems communicating with Lucienne, she was very responsive to questions I had throughout the year leading up to the trip. She helped me plan a wonderful vacation and I would use her again.
I see now why more and more travel agencies are going out of business as if you are computer savvy, or can carry on a conversation you can call the cruise line directly and make sure all the arrangements made are met accordingly. If it not for the stellar customer service of Royal Caribbean the Honeymoon would have been a bust. With the help of RC and the fact we were still on the "High" of being married we were able to enjoy the cruise and our time as newlyweds.
