Nice place for an event.
Love this place...the company I work for has held several events here over the years. Just found out that it will be torn down in 6 months and rebuilt as an event center...combo of library..event hall and something else. It is suppose to be modern and utilizing more of the surrounding space.
Everything about this place, from location to ease of parking, to cleanliness and size, was great. We were so impressed to walk in and see how large and modern the main event space was - not what you would expect from The outside. Everything was clean and in order as we arrived, including a nice lobby space, the kitchen, where our caterers were comfortable and hard at work, and the spacious bathrooms.

This is a beautiful venue attached to the park. In the park there is a trail you can walk and catch tons of pokemon. I caught serveral pokemon for team instinct! There are two bridges for you to walk over. There is a community board that has local events posted. WHen I went there was still some hurrican mathew damage. The civic center has a huge main room and a large outside area. THe event I attended here utilized the main room and the outside. The inside we got to listen to seminars. The architecture was beautiful. The exterior has shade and a nice place to eat overlooking the park.
The staff at our event were just fine - not impeccable customer service, but we weren't expecting much from them as they are mostly around for security and clean up purposes. Overall a delightful space to celebrate!
